What's a hole? When is it a hole? How do you catch it? How do you depict it? How do you talk about it? Is a hole the inside or the outside? Does a hole have to be round or can it have a different shape? Is it analog or digital? Is a hole a recess? A cavity? A notch? A damage? Or is it a lack of material? Is it insubstantial in this case? Emptiness, then? Nothing? Or yet "everything"? This the conclusion and documentation of a multimedia, interdisciplinary investigation on «holes». We have compiled our collection in a book containing a script related to our research on holes. The research is illustrated by over 800 photographs.
